The “Centro Studi Bosio Aics” communicated that, after the expiry of the time for entries to Nosside Poetry Prizes 2004 ( 30th June for the Vth Nosside Caribe and 30th July for the XXth International Prize), the centers of Reggio Calabria and La Havana( Cultural Center Dulce M. Loynaz of the ICL) have received altogether 307 entries and 1273 works.

The global issue of this Plan is increasing thanks to an international, multilingual and multimedia participation. Registrations come from Italy, Cuba, Albania, Brazil, Columbia, France, Great Britain, Morocco, Mexico, Rumania, Serbia and Montenegro, Spain and Venezuela. The linguistic range is really vast: Italian, Spanish, Albanian, Arab, French, English, Portuguese, Rumanian, Serb, one native language of Mexico ((mixteco), Sardinian and Sicialian languages and many native and minority languages.

The President of Bosio prof. Pasquale Amato, commenting the data, noticed that "the Nosside Prizes, just in the year of their 20th edition, show how the idea of a global poetry is in progress. It’s just the first time that some participants are from Brazil, Columbia, Mexico and Venezuela. Thanks to the idea of creating an office in La Havana, Nosside is expanding all over Latin America. It’s a great result for the Bosio. A result we couldn’t expect some years ago, but now, in 2004, it’s something concrete and rising ".
The juries are working to select some sets of five in order to choose the two Outright Winners. In the meanwhile, the Bosio members are already organizing the next dates for the "Nosside Days 2004" (prize-giving, multilingual anthology and other events).
