President
Amato said about 2005 Nosside awards:
“21st Edition’s results are glaring: 1)
among the winners are four poetesses from Latin America;
2) the Absolute Winner, the Dominican twenty-seven-year
old Rosa Silverio, has been the first non-European
and the first within the Americas; 3) the other awards
are a real achievement and a new extraordinay step
taken by Nosside Prize organizers. Nosside Award as
one single global poetry competition, has seen an
increase in its competitors from 307 in 2004 to 403
in 2005, and in countries’participation from
13 in 2004 to 25 in 2005.
The reasons for such an exceptional success lay in
the same results as three continents’ participation
is evident. Without privileging or ruling out anyone. In
fact Nosside Project’s point of strength has
always been its proclaimed and pursued idea of poetry
without any language and communicative form limits.
Therefore, a competitor from Reggio Calabria has the
same chances as one from any far away country, and
will not be privileged. A competitor from Chile or
Tahiti knows he will be judged like one who lives
in Reggio Calabria, learning to know and value –
thanks to the “Nosside” example - the
City of Bergamot after which Italy was named, with
its wonderful “Lungomare” (promenade)
and its very precious Museum.
On occasion of the Ceremony on 2 December in Reggio
Calabria Rosa Silverio will be given Boccioni Nosside
Plate made by the Master Goldsmith Gerardo Sacco;
besides, she has won 1,000 €, free participation
in “Nosside 2005” Anthology, and a trip
to Italy in December. She will attend 6th Nosside
Caribe Awards Ceremony in Cuba in February 2006. The
Winners will be granted Nosside Plate, 400 €,
and the presence in the Anthology. Specially Mentioned
Poets will have the possibility to have one poem published
in the Anthology, by “Città del Sole
Edizioni” in Reggio Calabria together with “Editorial
Letras Cubanas” in Havana.
Prof.
Amato announced the new Awards “Speciali
Nosside Club” proposed by Nosside
Club to intellectuals who have advocated
the strong idea of Bosio’s boundless poetry.

the research field dealing with “Odyssey”’s
true author, breaking an ancient taboo ; 2) the brothers
Alfonso and Gino Tramontana (Kysha25),
who gained Music Nosside Prize on occasion of the
17th Edition aiming high quality levels wich enabled
the production of a CD with the best Cuban musicians,
such as the mythical Los Van Van Band.
