The
XXII-th Nosside Prize,
the unique global contest for unpublished poems – organized by the Centre of Studies “Bosio” of Reggio
Calabria, under the sign of UNESCO recognition, continued
in 2006 its extraordinary travel around the world,
making the stage in Santo Domingo.
The
presentation took place successfully at the IX International
Book Fair, in the Dominican capital
after the happy beginning in Havana
and the promotion in New York.
The
poet Basilio Belliard (Coordinator of
the cultural activities of the exhibition) has
emphasized the recognition of the Minister of Culture
and of the Director of the Book Fair, to the
universal peace message of Nosside inviting Amato
and organizing the event.
The
Founder President of Nosside Prize prof. Pasquale
Amato has reminded the thrilling outcomes of 2005: the
ingress of Nosside Prize in Unesco World Poetry Directory;
the entry of “Bosio” in Global Alliance of Cultural
Diversities”; increasing of participants
and their provenience states; the
triumph of Latin America with the Outright
Winner Rosa Silverio and other three winners
from Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela.
Amato
has emphasized the amplification
of engagement for the protection of the origin and
minority cultural identities, and, has confirmed the
publication (edited by “Cittŕ del Sole” Editions of Reggio Calabria) of Anthology in three
languages (Italian, English and Spanish) next
to the languages used by the winner-authors.
Amato
has also announced the changes designed for the consolidation of the message of unique global prize,
where poets of great and small communities of the
world are contesting equal without favoritisms and
preferences, these are: 5 official languages
(Italian, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese);
the money awards are doubled and extended;
and are extended the possibility
to submit the application forms, to pay the Participation
Charge and to send the compositions
(poems and multimedia poetries) by email.
The
dominican poetess Rosa Silverio,
the Nosside 2005 Outright Winner, from
Santiago de los Caballeros, has concluded the Event,
testifying the transparence and impartiality of the
contest that guaranties to all equal opportunities
(“The Jury didn’t know me, as all the contenders
I was a number”), and moving the crowded stall
with the lecture of her splendid poetries , included
in the Anthology of “Nosside 2005”.
